Svyazinform is the first private company in the communications industry in the Kaliningrad Region. The company was founded in October 1991. The first station was switched on on December 30, 1992 in the Baltic district of Kaliningrad.

Svyazinform was one of the first companies to offer cellular services to the residents of Kaliningrad. Over 28,000 people in Kaliningrad are now using DAMPS standard mobile communication services provided by Svyazinform. Despite the existing competition, the cellular communications of this standard are still the most reliable and affordable.

Svyazinform and affiliated telecommunications operators provide all types of services in the field of communications.

The main requirement followed by Svyazinform in its work is quality, which is ensured by modern technologies and a high level of work organization. Thanks to the work of specialists and the latest equipment installed at the Company's nodes, Svyazinform expands the range of services. Svyazinform Group's main areas of activity today are provision of wireline and cellular communication services, telematic services, data transmission services, including ADSL.

New telephone exchanges are built and commissioned year by year and modern networks are laid. At present there are 37 telephone exchanges in Kaliningrad and six more are commissioned in other cities of the region (Svetlogorsk, Guryevsk, Zelenogradsk, Chernyakhovsk, Yuzhny, Donskoe).

The company pays special attention to the development of telecommunication networks in the region. In the near future the services of the group of companies will be available in the towns of Sovetsk and Gusev, and we hope to offer our services to inhabitants of other regional towns in the near future. The total number of fixed numbers that include the full list of additional services (call forwarding, direct calls, shortened dialing, notification of incoming calls, conference calls, outgoing call coding) that Svyazinform has is close to 26 thousand.

Today Svyazinform cellular communications are active not only in Kaliningrad but also in the region: Baltiysk, Svetly, Svetlogorsk, Zelenogradsk, Guryevsk, Mamonovo, Bagrationovsk, Polessk, Donskoe, Pionersky, Chernyakhovsk, Gusev. In the near future, the company plans to build new base stations for mobile cellular communications so as to "cover" the entire region.
